On a warm summer night in Madison, NJ, more than 200 fans, collaborators, family and friends came together for “Remembering Michael Hedges” – a tribute/benefit concert.
The event celebrated Michael’s life, his influence, and the profound impact his music had on the world. Many attendees contributed funding to support production & editing of the upcoming documentary Oracle: the Life & Music of Michael Hedges.
Peter Ciluzzi, Michael Gulezian, Michael Manring, Calum Graham, Trevor Gordon Hall, Preston Reed and Michael Kelsey brought immense musical talent and plenty of magic to a full house on this special summer night in Madison, NJ. Michael’s son Mischa and brother Brendan gave a presentation about their documentary’s progress, and showed some behind the scenes and in-progress clips from the film.
Attendees experienced spine-tingling performances, gave standing ovations, and left with full hearts from this wonderful night of music and remembrance.
A huge thanks to Karen Haskell for organizing, Matt Guthrie DeLange, Bina & Jeffrey Titus for advising and helping with promotional materials, Chris & Steve for running lights & sound, Josh Fox for MC-ing, and the entire staff at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey for making this event such a sweet success.
