Mischa Hedges is Michael’s eldest child. He grew up exploring the forests, rivers and ocean beaches on the Mendocino Coast, playing music with his mom, dad and siblings, and roaming the vegetable garden and redwood forest in their backyard.
Mischa is an award-winning documentary producer, director and editor (Seeker of Truth, Of The Sea, Women’s March). He holds a B.A. in Film Production from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film, and an MBA from Dominican University. He is the founder of TrimTab Media, where he leads the production of independent films and video content for progressive brands and non-profit organizations.

Dear friends, collaborators and fans of Michael Hedges,
This month, our filmmaking team is working to secure development funds for ORACLE: the life and music of Michael Hedges, which will be the first official documentary about my father since his untimely death in 1997.
At this time, we’re seeking several early sponsors to contribute to the development fund for the documentary, which will enable us to film several key interviews, continue story development and scripting work, and launch a full-fledged crowdfunding campaign and fundraising trailer later in 2022. The crowdfunding campaign will enable us to begin production, pitch to distributors, and apply for additional grant funding to help us edit and finish the film.
Sponsorships range from $1,000 – $25,000, and our early sponsors will receive:
• A Sponsor benefits package
• A monthly sponsor email with updates on the project and behind-the-scenes photos
• Invitations to provide feedback during each phase of the filmmaking process
(pre-production, production, rough cut, final cut).
We are committed to producing an excellent film that tells Michael’s story and reaches audiences everywhere. This will be a 2-3 year project by an award-winning filmmaking team, featuring an all-star cast of interviewees. Your early support of this project will ensure we get a strong start and have the necessary resources to do this right.
